SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS

Machine Design

Bruce was part of a team that designed and built a machine capable of stamping, forming and assembling transformer cores. Approximately 350 drawings were required for this project.

Building Renovations

He managed and co-ordinated construction trades and maintenance personnel to complete a major office renovation project. This included barrier free access and washroom facilities as well as a more modern and functional office facility. The total cost of this project exceeded $1 million.

Documentation

Bruce transferred architectural details, factory and office floor plans, services, etc. of a 450,000 sq. ft. facility to Autocad. This resulted in drastically reduced costs for space planning and in more accurate control of floor plans, equipment and furniture inventory.

Roll Loader

Bruce used ProE solid modeling tool to develop a design for a machine to place a 60" diameter, 48" high roll on a spindle of an automatic splice machine. He prepared a total of 25 "D" size drawings and 200 unique parts.

Facility Design

He has prepared numerous electrical and mechanical design drawings for design build contracts. Facilities include manufacturing expansions, maintenance shops, process buildings, warehouses, a maintenance garage, car dealership and furniture stores. These included services of power distribution, lighting, communications, fire alarm, security, plumbing, HVAC, drainage, compressed air, gas and utilities.
